Diane Holly Barres nee Moss 78 of Vermilion formerly Elyria died December 6 2024 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness. She was born December 15 1945 in Amherst Ohio and lived in Vermilion 25 years. She worked as a long distance operator for Elyria Telephone Company. Survived by husband Larry 58 years two children and several grandchildren. No public services. Memorials to Our Lady of the Wayside or Friendship Animal Protective League. Harry Giles Sawdey born February 19 1930s in New London Ohio to Eva and Harry Sawdey Sr died October 6 2024 surrounded by family. A Marine radioman in the Korean War he used the GI bill to attend Ohio State University, married Janice Sawdey with two sons, endured multiple later marriages, found lasting happiness with Janet, and worked as a teacher Fuller Brush salesman Greyhound driver and finally a minister before retirement. He is survived by his wife Jan and children Jeff Mike Thomas King Steven King Dawn and Adriene.
