Avon Lake debates 25 mph business district on Route 83
Avon Lake City Council debated designating a portion of Route 83 as a business district and lowering the speed limit to 25 mph. The 1,891 foot stretch along Walker Road and Avon Belden Road would be 25 mph within the district, 35 mph outside. The measure follows safety data showing higher crashes at the Walker Road Avon Belden Road intersection.
