The Elyria Americanization Council voted to rename the organization the Social Settlement Association of Elyria, returning to the original title founded 20 years ago. A campaign for 5800 dollars to fund next year’s work and a push to raise funds for a new Settlement House on Woodford avenue were authorized, with plans to start after January 10 and a November drive. The group also notes most funds last year went to non Americanization work, while school meals expanded from 23 to 76 children at Vulcan Street Settlement House.

Boy Dies in Barracks Service Club Fire
