Lt John Tender of 117% 7th Street Lorain is named commanding officer of the Air Force V AR T unit for the area. The unit trains as a flight to the 633rd Volunteer Air Reserve Visiting Squadron based in Cleveland. Driver Hurt As Car Hits Tree Near Lorain Route 3a
Thomas Powell of Oakwood Avenue Lorain was cited for reckless driving after veering to avoid a truck and a station wagon on Route 3a near South Corporation Limits last evening. He struck a tree on the far side, damaging the left front of his car. The truck driven by Edwin Richard of West Park Boulevard Medina was towing a station wagon with Leven Lockhart of Ashland as a passenger. Powell said he did not see the vehicles ahead and was forced to swerve. Neither the truck nor the station wagon was damaged.
