Members of Bethel Shrine Auxiliary were entertained yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Fred Tite on Hamp ton avenue. After a brief session four bridge tables were in play with awards for high score to Mrs. Flossie Sthey, second to Mrs. Murdan Farmer, and another to a third. Luncheon was served.

A crowd of about 450 attended the Democratic Victory Ball at Elyria Elks Club celebrating the municipal election win. The free event by Democrat Men's Club allowed townspeople to meet the newly elected councilmen and officers. Mayor Vanoster praised public support ahead of brief remarks. President William G. Smith outlined the club’s purpose and introduced the council members. In Dover Ohio police probed an explosion damaging Paul Penso home. a 26 foot fuse failed to injure him, his wife, or their 5 year old son.
