Salt shortage looms as city eyes new road salt supply
The city will dump its remaining 150 tons of road salt tonight with a new supply expected if heavy snow continues. Salt trucks hit the roads at 6 10 am after snow began, with 100 tons borrowed from an undisclosed source and negotiations ongoing with International Salt Co of Cleveland for 3500 tons at about 16 dollars per ton.
