Scouts Extend Aid To Youths In Senior Scout Plan

Thomas J. Keane of New York, director of senior scouting for the Boy Scouts of America, argued that roaming youths and wanderers will be diminished as proper educational and vocational programs are started. He credited the CCC camps started by the President as a major first step in rehabilitating young men, noting that at 15 a boy becomes a man and needs active, engaging pursuits. Keane highlighted the extensive Senior Scout program as key to offering new interests and educational diversion.
