Two Farm Youths Killed When Auto Struck by Train
Two farm youths Clarence Retter twenty four and Dale Gordon twenty one were killed when the automobile they rode in was struck by a Nickel Plate freight train east of Shawtown Findlay Ohio. The car was carried nearly a mile before the train halted. Both bodies were mangled and thrown from the vehicle. Hancock county coroner Dr H O Crosby rendered an accidental death verdict. Gordon’s parents reside in McClure and Rutters in Grand Rapids. Both youths were employed on a farm near Shawtown.
