Lorain Tug N-1688 Rescued After Drifting to Canada
The Lorain 36-foot fishing tug N-1688 carrying Melvin Easterwood and Carl Miller, with Captain Charles Abel, was towed into Wheatley Ontario after engine failure left it adrift for more than 24 hours. Coast guard cutters and two planes combed the lake before a Canadian vessel spotted and towed the craft to safety. Abel said they broke down and drifted until help arrived.

Damage suit settles for thirty-five dollars in Lorain court
A suit for twenty five thousand dollars brought against Cay Holbrook by Joseph Golomewski seven of Lorain was settled in common pleas court today for three hundred fifty dollars. The Lorain boy sought damages for injuries to his arm when it was caught in an electric wringer operated by the defendant.

Six Insane Patients Escape From State Hospital
Six inmates including two killers and two pyromaniacs escaped from the state hospital for the criminal insane near Beacon New York and fled in a large car toward New York City after overpowering attendants.
