In a report by an Elyria official, patrolman Nicholas A. Eichenlaub and James E. Mahone were cited over a crash on State Route 57. Eichenlaub entered an intersection traveling between 40 and 50 mph on an armed robbery call. Mahone, who did not see the cruiser, failed to yield to emergency vehicles. Mahone treated for facial injuries. LifeCare transport vehicle sustained minor damage.
