Wilford Berry Jr. is deemed competent to waive further appeals and face execution on March 3 for killing his former boss, Charles Mitroff Jr., in Cleveland in 1989. If carried out, he would be Ohio’s first execution since 1963. The Supreme Court noted Berry understands the consequences and does not seek a death wish.

The Federal Trade Commission voted 4 0 to maintain the 50 year old standard that all or virtually all of a product be made in the United States to carry the Made in USA label. The agency had considered allowing up to 25 percent of manufacturing costs to be spent abroad. The decision is seen as favorable to the current standard and U.S. producers.
