Four rings valued at 1100 to 1200 were taken from a garage window sill at Mrs J Q Ryans 114 Cedar Street Columbus. A separate report notes a $300 ring missing from Mrs Wise of 316 Cleveland Street. Police search follows this late afternoon theft.
An effort to form a Elyria local council of the National Safety Council is under way with a public meeting next Tuesday in the council chamber. Leaders from the General Phonograph Co. Elyria Iron & Steel and Colson Co plan safety initiatives and plan to invite schools and city government to join. The gathering will feature Cleveland council members Adam Lintz and J. E. Thompson with film shows to follow.

The Zeridus, a large San Pedro fishing fleet vessel, burned to the water line a mile off Gaviota twenty miles north of Santa Barbara at dawn after a three hour fire. The crew led by owner J Schultz abandoned ship in a lifeboat.
Attorney Guy Findley and W. G. Sharp Jr attend a Cleveland Property committee meeting for Elyria and Lorain business leaders to push a proposed aerial mail field partly into Lorain County. Lorain delegates were not invited. Elyria and Lorain seek the field west of Cleveland with government approval.
Mrs. W. B. Moulton, 73, died this morning between 6 and 7 at the Lake Avenue home of her daughter Mrs. George Krusel in Stop 19. A resident of the city for twenty years, she is survived by her husband, the daughter, two sons Ira J. Moulton of Toledo and Floyd Moulton of Loraim, and brother Elmer Jump. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Ohio State University extension officials report hot lunches raise pupil weights. In Lud County two townships 6 percent gained weight after lunch programs. Among others 21 percent showed no gain 6 percent lost weight and 4 percent gained abnormally. Schools statewide now serve hot lunches to pupils.
Julius Grunwald an unemployed clerk was arrested in Vienna after promising marriage to forty two women and living on borrowed money. Police found his diary with exact details of daily engagements meeting places and eighteen aliases. The forty two fiancees are to provide evidence.
The Public Utilities Commission announced it will not approve the Logan Gas Company service charge without proof of fairness. The editorial blames Council and Governor pressure, urges independent investigation, and suggests the commission may now pursue justice for Elyria and other cities through public inquiry.
