Ohio aims for 1 million jobs by 1990 not at other states’ expense
Ohio officials say job growth should come from within the state, not by poaching labor from others. Gov Celeste’s administration targets 1 million new Ohio jobs by 1990, potentially cutting unemployment from 11 percent to about 4 percent, while emphasizing service sectors and small business. The department plans a one stop permit center and $30 million to fund tech innovation and modernization of existing plants.
