Wellington Street Workers Seek Twenty-Cenny Wage Hike
Wellington village council considers a 20 cent hourly wage increase for five street department workers under a new two year plan. The measure, tied to a fuel cost clause from Ohio Fuel Gas Co., would raise minimum pay to 1.55 to 1.75 in the first term and 1.95 in the second, costing about 2200 dollars annually, and was sent to the recreation board for review after emergency passage.
