Tax rate debate runs through Elyria budget figures
County officials report 1933 figures show an 11 percent drop from 1932 in certain receipts and fines, offset by a $100,000 reduction in other incomes. Levy for county operations rises from 2.318 to 2.4 mills, while the special one mill road levy is dropped, allowing a total levy cut from 3.58 to 3.05 mills.
