Alleged Hold Up Men On Trial Here Today
James Newsome and Louis Lanteon were found guilty this afternoon on the robbery charge in Lorain County common pleas court and each received a ten year sentence. Hugh Newsome, brother of the accused, testified and was then arrested as a party to the robbery. Deputy Sheriff Paul Chapman nabbed him after testimony. Chapman held a John Doe indictment for Jam. The witness pointed him out as the gunman who took $11.63 from a Hampton store cash register. Trial of Newsome and Lanteon alias Skag for robbery of William B. Homer Kipton on Oct 26 began this morning before Judge W Y Thompson. This is the first criminal trial (No. 4, continued on Page 2).

A hunger marchers delegation from Ohio and western states is due in Elyria around 3 p m to hold a mass meeting in Ely Park and distribute hand bills before continuing to Cleveland that evening. Wheat Dominates Rotary Club Meeting in Elyria
Wheat dominated the weekly Elyria Rotary Club gathering at Hotel Newall. A wheat meal showcased use of whole wheat flour as a growing national trend, followed by four talks from Oberlin College men involved in the movement. Dr. Robert Brown described the 1932 effort to use wheat to relieve hunger, noting 20 million bushels in government storage. He recalled childhood boiled wheat and outlined experiments in Lorain and Yale Hope Mission, where wheat forms much of the diet for 60 men daily and 85 families. The idea’s spread was reported as continuing.

80 bushels of wheat stolen from Wellington granery
Deputy Sheriff Paul Chapman investigated a theft from Herbert Miller's granery in Wellington. About 150 bushels were removed last night, sacked and hauled away in a truck. No clues or tire tracks were found as Miller's granery sits a half mile from his home. Chapman believes the theft was carefully planned and involved at least two hours of loading.

Bridge Over Wellington Creek Approved for Medina Norwalk Road
County commissioners approved a joint federal state and county project to build a Wellington Creek bridge on the Medina Norwalk road.
