Lorain County On Line goes free for most records
Lorain County online subscribers will not pay to access electronic county records as two offices end participation. Probate Court left in July and the recorder’s office plans to quit in January due to incompatible upgraded computer systems. The system will still offer records from the auditor treasurer and clerk of courts. Don Rothgery says making it free aligns with changing access as the county moves toward a new Internet based Lorain County On Line within a year. The service became free on November 25, removing monthly fees of ten dollars for the first two hours and ten cents per minute thereafter.
