Latin teacher trains at Millersville for five weeks
Lorain Clearview High School Latin teacher Mavis Darcy completed five weeks of intensive Latin teacher training at Millersville University in Pennsylvania. She studied morphology and syntax with focus on Virgil and Cicero, practiced Latin exclusively, and joined cultural field trips to Philadelphia museums and an Italian restaurant. Gas prices dip in northeast Ohio for Labor Day weekend
Northeast Ohio drivers see a drop of 2.5 cents per gallon in regular fuel since July 4 bringing average self serve prices to 1.06 for regular 1.13.8 for unleaded and 1.30 for premium amid a national trend. Diesel rose 2.8 cents to 1.26 with a 6 cent federal tax increase partly passed on. 84 percent of eight-county area stations will be open over Labor Day weekend.

Holiday Inn theater names new producer
Elyria based Bud Binns and Huntington Playhouse Bay Village will replace David J Sudy Co as Holiday Inn Dinner Theater producers this season.
