Milan Melon Festival lights up Milan with 200000 visitors
Milan hosts the 26th Milan Melon Festival on Route 113 featuring melon dishes, a queen coronation, antique car show with 125 cars from California, a two hour parade with 175 units, a 10 kilometer run, jazzercise and dancercize, Buckshot and Big Chuck and Little John performances, and a three day schedule of contests, fireworks, and family entertainment drawing over two hundred thousand attendees.

Airport sues Elyria builder over disputed bid project
The Lorain County Regional Airport Authority filed suit in Lorain County Common Pleas against Tri City Builders Co. Inc. of Elyria for an $18,000 bid on a snow removal equipment building. The authority says Tri City failed to provide required information, choosing the second best bid instead, and seeks $18,000 from the bond issuer Hamilton Mutual Insurance Co. and $89,088 total in damages against Thomas and Tri City.
