Union leaders voiced no bitterness after GM announced the Lowell Street plant closure in December. Horton said life after GM would be uncertain as other plants nearby shut down. Local 780 president Larry Tanner had left town but was expected back Tuesday. Tanner had argued wage and benefit concessions worth 14 million could save the plant. The union plans no talks with Johnson Controls. Plant manager Baker warned reversals hinge on dramatic new revelations. GM Chairman Roger Smith agreed to meet Fisher Guide officials after Rep.
