GTE seeks 54 million rate hike for Ohio locals
GTE asks PUCO for a 54 million rate increase that would raise basic local telephone service by about 60 percent. If approved, the change would take effect in August 1988, and would lift a typical monthly charge from 386 to 620 dollars for GTE’s 600,000 Ohio customers, including many in Lorain County. Lorain County district manager Dave Milhman notes the firm serves most of southern Lorain County.
