Convicted rapist Manuel Arias loses appeal
Manuel Arias, a 45 year old counselor at a Lorain homeless shelter, lost his bid to overturn his nine count conviction and a 30 year to life sentence. The Ninth District Court of Appeals upheld the verdicts including two rape counts and rejected claims of ineffective counsel and insufficent evidence to call him a sexual predator.
