Bootleg feud blamed in Canton murder
Police claim Canton bootlegger Joe Cotelli was slain amid alleged whiskey and beer monopoly feuds. Cotelli’s body was found near Congress Lake, with coroner T. C. McQuate stating death occurred at least two days earlier from blunt force, strangulation, or dragging, as authorities tie the killing to gang violence in the Canton area.
