Robert L. Vick, 69, of North Ridgeville, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at O'Neill Healthcare in Bay Village. Arrangements are announced by Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville.
William E Bill Czajkowski and William F Bill Czajkowski both died unexpectedly at age 72 in Amherst on August 23 2017. Arrangements are pending with Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home Elyria. The family will be notified of services and burial details.
Ocie G. Coombs, age 77, died on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 8 25 AM. She was the widow of WJ Hall, married 39 years. A memorial service for Hall's Towing will be held at a later date.
Jack C Mezatasta 76 of Wakeman died August 22 2017 at home under Mercy New Life Hospice care after a two year cancer battle. Born March 14 1941 in Amherst he lived in Lorain before moving with his wife to Wakeman to be with his son Joe. He worked 25 years at Lorain Works U S Steel and earlier for Cook Coffee and Ontario stores. He was a member of United Steelworkers Local 1104 and enjoyed outdoors gardening and family. Surviving Barbara Joe Greg grandchildren Mark Olivia brothers Frank Jim Tony and other relatives. Deacon Dr. Ralph J Krupp 83 of Lorain died August 21 2017 at Arden Courts of Westlake. He was born December 27 1933 in Lorain and married Bernice Ryan June 30 1956. He practiced dentistry in Lorain retiring 1995 and was ordained to the permanent Diaconate May 21 1994. Lynnette Junior 76 of Elyria died Friday August 18 2017 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a short illness. She was a Midview High School alum class of 1959 retired after 30 years with the Lorain County Treasurer Office. She served at Second Baptist Church and held multiple community roles. Survived by husband Albert and children Marcia Kathleen and Albert Jr with three grandsons. Burial at Brookdale Cemetery with services at Second Baptist Church. Arrangements by Carter Funeral Home.
Kathryn I DeBerry 64 died August 23 2017 at Metro Health Cleveland after a sudden illness. Born July 13 1953 in Lorain she lived in Wakeman the last 12 years and taught as a Murray Ridge School teacher’s aide before retiring in 2016. Survivors include husband Chuck DeBerry son Brent Justice and daughters Tracy Justice Rhonda Hembree and many relatives. Funeral Sunday August 27 visitation and Monday August 28 service at Hempel Funeral Home Amherst with burial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst Township.

Richard N. Andrews of Norwalk, born July 7, 1929 in Vermilion, died August 21, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He worked 32.5 years at Ford Lorain, was UAW retiree, and is survived by son Mary Andrews and five grandchildren. A memorial service is set for August 28 at Eastman Funeral Home New London with burial at Wakeman Cemetery. Contributions may go to Stein Hospice.
Richard Hubbard III pleads not guilty to resisting arrest after a traffic stop in Euclid. A white officer punched Hubbard repeatedly in a dashcam video that sparked national outrage.
