Toledo On Tour With Greek King and Queen Visit

Washington the State Department announced that Toledo Ohio is among 11 U S cities slated for late October and November visits by King Paul and Queen Frederika of Greece. The royal couple will arrive October 28 to spend a month as guests of President Eisenhower.

Communists Press For Joint Probe Into POW Interference

PANMUNJOM The Communists demanded a joint investigation into alleged interference by their Red Cross representatives in visits to South Korean prisoner of war camps. Maj. Gen. Blackshear M. Bryan pledged an early UN reply as the request, backed by both Allied and Communist Red Cross officials, followed denials by the UN Command. Fresh reports said the Communists plan to speed up repatriation, aiming for about 150 GIs daily starting Friday.

Tax Rate Lowers Slightly in County Bonds Plan

Cleveland Judge Pleads Innocence In Embezzling Case

Cleveland former Probate Court Judge Nelson Brewer, 69, pleaded innocent in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on embezzling charges. He resigned under fire last month and was released on a $1,000 bond by Judge Joseph Silbert. Tokyo reports unconfirmed that purged North Korean former foreign minister Pak Hong Yong has escaped to Japan.

Royalist Iranian troops backed by tanks quelled an anti-Monarchist demonstration in Tehran as the city awaited Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi. Turnpike Board Seeks New Trial In Land Case

The Ohio Turnpike Commission filed a motion for a new trial in an appropriation suit against Walter Angersbach of Brownhelm township after a verdict of 9000. A second suit against Angersbach for another parcel is planned. The first trial awarded 500 compensation plus 8500 damages as the road would be about 250 feet from his home. Small Fawn Is Killed By Car

A small fawn about 25 pounds ran in front of a car driven by Robert Eppley of RD 2 Amherst around 9 45 pm. He was traveling north on Baumhart Road when the animal bounded into his path. The carcass was given to a nearby resident for disposal.

Elyrian Fined On 4 Charges After Fast Police Chase

Ernest W. Becote of 340 Sixteenth Street faced four charges after a high speed chase yesterday. He pled guilty and was fined a total of $60 plus court costs. He drove through red lights, struck a pickup, and collided with a pole after speeds allegedly reached 65 mph. Burglars Strike Grafton Market Again

A second break in a week at Grafton Food Market was reported last night. Owner W J Wildenheimn said eight hams six Canadian bacon packages valued at 47 and 165 in nickels were taken after entry through a window. In the prior burglary cartons of cigarettes were stolen and he has been moving cigarette stock home at night.
