Hewitt Case Is Setback in Sterilization Probe
In San Francisco Aug 20 state attorneys failed to prove a doctors conspiracy in the sterilization of heiress Ann Gooner Hewitt. They will seek extradition of her mother socialite Mik Maryon Cooper Hewitt McCarter on the Bune charges. Assistant DA August Fournier said they would push to bring Mrs McCarter to trial as soon as possible in California authorities’ matter. Bresiin represents Mrs McCarter and will move to dismiss a detainer filed in New Jersey.
