Moped Crackdown Planned by Elyria Police
Elyria Police Department will begin enforcing moped rules on Sept. 1 for unregistered mopeds and unlicensed riders. Mopeds must have a bicycle license, riders 14 or older need a moped or driver license, and speed limits and city bans apply. Licenses available Aug. 29 and Sept. 12 and 19 at city recreation centers. violators will be cited and allowed to walk their vehicle home.
