Heat relief hoped as deaths mount in South and Midwest
Across the South and Midwest many pray for relief from record heat that has killed more than 41 people and pushed power demand to new highs. A 77 year old woman died in Memphis from heat, bringing the city toll to nine. TVA shut one Browns Ferry reactor and reduced others to lower river water temperatures to protect the river and cut power output.
