Warcen Clark, 21, left Cleveland Saturday with 1000 dollars from the Elyria Iron and Stela Co payroll and has not been seen since. Police scanning for him since Saturday night report no trace. He drove a Ford truck with license 40708 and Mills Co painted on both sides.
Lorain Ohio relief officials report the June 28 tornado disaster has prompted rapid Red Cross action. About 215,000 dollars has been awarded to 329 families for rehabilitation, with total figures showing 78 dead, 261 homes destroyed, 7,225 homeless, and 850,000 dollars raised statewide. Rehabilitation aims to restore homes and livelihoods, not act as insurance. Awards are made after thorough family-by-family investigations to ensure needs drive aid.
Mrs Herbert Henes of Jackson Street was bitten on the ankle while picking blackberries Sunday afternoon in Amherst. Medical assistance was called as her ankle swelled heavily.
Elizabeth Dutch died Saturday night at her son James Dutch's home on Blaine Street at age 71. She is survived by two sons James and William, two sisters in Scotland, and eight grandchildren. Judge Ross W. Funk of Worcester won the Republican nomination for judge of the Court of Appeals in the Ninth District, defeating William J. Laub with a total majority of 9,438 across four counties. Funk carried Sunuit, Medina, Lorain, and Wayne counties, with Lorain yielding his largest margin.

Friends report the death of E E Carr 26 also known as Harry Carr in Cleveland Sunday morning from tuberculosis He was the son of a former restaurant owner near the Willy Overland plant in this city Funeral services are set for Tuesday afternoon at the undertaker on 1725 E 90th Street Cleveland.
Martha Collins of Elyria pleaded guilty in Police Court to selling and possessing intoxicating liquors. This marked her second offense, after a prior $200 fine and costs. Also before the court Mr. Clarkston pled guilty to intoxication and was fined $25 with costs. H E Wade received ten days in jail and $10 fine plus costs after a domestic dispute led to a threat to kill.
Charles A Gates 72 son of N B Gates pioneer and former Elyria mayor died in Cleveland Sunday. He graduated Western Reserve College in 1873 and worked for Russell Engine Co then secretary of W N Gates Co of Cleveland founded by his brother. Survived by widow two sons a daughter a sister and a brother funeral in Massillon today.
The P. J. Keabray store at the corner of Oberlin Road and South Maple Street was broken into Saturday night. Six boxes of candy and eight dozen oranges were stolen. Police suspect local boys. entry gained by forcing the back door.

Arthur Lersch, born December 8 1879 in Elyria, died suddenly at Memorial Hospital on Saturday August 16 at three o'clock. He was the fourth son of John Lersch and Parmelo Boyates Lersch of Washington Avenue. He leaves three sons James Prentice Arthur Emerson James Loren and Robert Cotton, his wife Tempe Foote Sarah having passed away earlier. The funeral was held this afternoon at five o'clock at the Jenkins Home and was private.
