New London district seeks five teachers as enrollment rises
New London expects 1 504 students when classes begin September 6 at 8 30 a m with 1 040 in elementary and 464 in high school. Five teaching positions remain open three in fifth grade and one each in grades one and three. Principal Leonard Mackles returns. Clarksfield gains a head teacher and new language courses may run if enrollment holds. Driver education starts this year with practice next summer financed by state funds.
