Lunaire plant to add 150 workers in Elyria expansion

Lunaire Inc a Westinghouse subsidiary plans adding 125 to 150 workers at its Elyria Ohio plant with a new Fraser Johnson heating and air division shifting production away from California. The move raises local hiring and expands Luxaire Moncrief units into a 50 state market while Fraser Johnson branding remains on West Coast units.

Pretrial Hearing Set For Amherst Mayor DePaola

A pretrial hearing on civil rights and coercion charges against Amherst Mayor Anthony J DePaola is tentatively set for 9 30 a m Aug 22 before Judge Adrian F Bedeski. Bonds were reduced from 5000 to 2000 each. Indictments allege DePaola coerced Roy Shaffer and Herron Milks into donating land for permits.
