Elyria mother and artist Lena Stark finds time scarce
Linda Stark, mother of four in Elyria, balances art and family through sacrifice. She teaches private art at the Elyria YWCA, sketches for girls, paints portraits and murals, designs greeting cards, upholsters, and decorates interiors. She volunteers at Our Lady of the Wayside Home and plans to pursue a master's at Kent State while continuing late-night craft work. She aims to teach art professionally, emphasizing empathy and student expression. She avoids clubs, focusing on work as life.

Coroner's hobby turns grim collection into lawman's paradox
Lorain County Coroner Dr. Paul J. Kopsch treats autopsies as a hobby while living in a parlor full of books. His home houses guns, cannons, and weapons, reflecting a paradox between his serious duties and his unusual, hobbyist collection. He recalls a solved case of Kiki Rios and notes a high autopsy rate, with toxicology used if death lacks clear cause.
