Elyria’s American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps Post 12 won the Ohio State championship for the seventh time at Columbus with a 92.66 percent score, beating Norwood by less than half a point after a previous loss to Norwood in 1954. The corps earned $400 prize and a share of gate receipts. William Hruby won best drum major and Elmer Bernum of Berea took first in bugling. Leemhuis was elected treasurer of the 40 et 8. Parade scheduled today with 30 bands expected.

Veteran Arctic Pilots To Hunt Missing Plane
