Roosevelt Hopeful For Utilities Legislation
President Roosevelt, at Hyde Park, said he is hopeful Congress will pass the utilities holding company regulation bill. He avoided details on final form, planned finishing touches on labor board selection under Wagner act, and social security protections. He noted no comment on the tax bill and prepared to return to Washington. He also referenced a Hoover policy remark briefly.
