Federal court upholds family damages in Croce crash case
A federal appeals court ruled the family of Jim Croce road manager Kenneth Cortese can seek damages despite Cortese carrying marijuana aboard the 1973 Beechcraft crash flight. The Fifth Circuit said a common carrier owes full care to passengers regardless of contraband and noted Cortese lost passenger status after transporting marijuana.
