Two levies placed on November ballot in Lorain County
Lorain County Commissioners agreed to a reduced renewal levy for Golden Acres Home for the Aged near Amherst and to a replacement mental health levy. The Golden Acres levy drops from 6.75 to 4 mills, while the mental health levy would be set to raise about double the current 900000 with 1993 tax rates. Homeowners would pay about 5.20 dollars annually for the renewal and about 11 dollars for the replacement if approved.
