Water authority defers out-of-territory service five years
LAGRANGE The Rural Lorain County Water Authority upholds its April moratorium and will not extend service beyond its current territory for about five years while it fixes internal problems. Jackson Township officials, with 50 prospective customers along Ashland County Road 620, seek clarity on future water access. The authority plans to install larger lines, address current distribution issues, and has just awarded Caldwell Tanks Inc. a $384,600 contract to build a 500 000 gallon elevated storage tank for two new Grafton correctional facilities.
