State official lauds public input at Black River schools meeting
Roger Lulow of the Ohio Department of Education praised the Black River Board of Education for its public participation during a discussion on school financing. He explained the district owes 418000 to a state loan fund due in 18 months and warned that without new funding the state could take over operations, with students likely absorbed into nearby districts. He noted only 28 percent of local adults have children in schools and urged convincing the remaining 72 percent of taxpayers of the need for funding.
