Twelve Ohio counties delay claiming state relief funds
In Columbus, twelve Ohio counties including Ashland, Auglaize, Darke, Fairfield, Franklin, Hardin, Harrison, Henry, Ross, Shelby, Wayne and Williams drew no state relief money in the year's first half and show little hurry to claim July allocations. Pickaway is the only county that has consulted officials on steps to draw July funds, as a new law shifts discretionary power away from the state relief commission. Under prior law, full monthly allocations were granted once reports showed compliance with requirements.
