Emmy winning film on Oberlin slave rescue
Oberlin-A documentary about the Oberlin Wellington Rescue of 1858 won an Emmy from NATAS Ohio Valley. Filmmakers Scott Spears and Christina Paolucci use interviews with Oberlin Heritage Center leaders Liz Schultz and Ken Grossi to recount John Price s rescue, tensions before the Civil War, and postwar inequities. The project began in 2019 with support from grants and the Heritage Center as fiscal partner.
