Elyria moves to drop reciprocal agreements with Lorain Avon North Ridgeville South Amherst Amherst Sheffield Lake Vermilion and Huron to save about 50000 annually. Tax Administrator Ted Valassis cites reduced bookkeeping and funds redirected to city debt while council finance committee plans legislation and hearings on Sanitation equipment needs. Lorain already ended reciprocal pacts, prompting broader consideration in the county.
