McIlroy Wins PGA as McIlroy Excels in Majors Summer
Rory McIlroy shot 68 to finish 6 under and win Sunday at the PGA Championship. Phil Mickelson was runner up, one stroke back, with Rickie Fowler and Henrik Stenson finishing tied for third. Fowler joins Nicklaus and Woods as players finishing top five in all four majors, yet Fowler still lacks a major win. Five players shot four rounds in the 60s, first since Riviera 1995. McIlroy’s win follows his British Open title, giving Europe three of four majors this season.
