Costly Blaze At Lorain Damages Broadway Building
A fire of undetermined origin caused 10 000 to 11 000 dollars in damage to a Broadway building at 332 338 Broadway Lorain last night. Fire Chief David E Hart said the blaze started in the basement area occupied by Neisner Brothers and spread to the first floor. Discovered about 1130 p m firefighters fought until 2 a m before the fire was controlled. The structure is owned by Aaron Lertzman of Lorain.

Relief notes to reach Lorain County Treasurer
Lorain County expects cash from a 91500 relief note issue to be delivered to County Treasurer Walter J. Wright today or tomorrow. The notes were approved by Squire Sanders and Dempsey in Cleveland and sent to The Providence Savings and Trust Co. of Cincinnati for collection. Funds will cover county relief costs from July to December and were borrowed at three quarters of one percent, to be redeemed with special excise tax receipts.

One of Wellington's Best Known Men Dies in Ohio
Ernest L. Shatzer, 59, died at 2 P M yesterday at a Put-in-Bay friend’s home after seeking medical advice for failing health. A 30 year state employee and Wellington resident since 1914, he served as Tymochtee Township trustee, state highway inspector, restocking streams official, tollkeeper on Sandusky Bay Bridge, and Lorain County highway inspector. Surviving are sons Maurice of Tiffin and Terry of North Olmstead. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
