The report lists today wind west at 10 to 15 knots with 2 to 4 foot waves and tonight southwest winds 10 to 15 knots with the same wave range. It notes yesterday rainfall 0.47 inches, monthly 0.78 inches, yearly 28.36 inches, and deviations 0.24 for the month and 6.21 for the year. The storm drenched much of the nation with heavy rain causing widespread flooding in Indiana and Kentucky. North central Kentucky saw over 8 inches of rain, Scottsburg streets were submerged under several feet of water, and bridges were washed out. Emergency officials reported impassable roads, with additional flooding reported northeast of Lawsville and in the falls and valleys between Bedford and Madison. Interstates faced traffic snarls as showers blanketed the region, while sizable rainfall totals appeared in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky.
