Boy Falls 50 Feet at Metro Park Near Norfolk Avenue

Lorain 13 year old Ray Smith Jr. fell from a shale cliff overlooking a waterfall in the Day's Dam area of the Black River Reservation after climbing to a ledge despite friends warning him. He was stabilized at MetroHealth Medical Center after surgery. Ray suffered a broken left arm and other injuries. rescuers used a four wheel drive and a helicopter to transport him.

Ross eyes USS Kobe role in Lorain rail salvage plan
