The Illustrious Dreamer Painter Paul Detre
The Hungarian artist Paul Detre fled to France then Switzerland before moving to New York in 1949. Health issues followed, ending in Denver where he regained health and paints vivid memories in Parisian color. He hopes a New York dealer will buy his work but remains the incorrigible dreamer who believes art can sustain him.
