Adults deer go for about 1 dollar, elk 30 dollars, antelope 2 dollars, wild turkeys 1.75, with a moose calf selling for 1 and a bighorn sheep head fetching over 700 dollars. Boaters face potential new taxes as fisheries funding eyed
Proposals in Congress would impose excise taxes on recreational boats and gear to boost state fisheries funding. Wallop would tax boats under 20 feet with outboard motors and Snyder targets boats under 25 feet and many boating accessories. Some groups warn higher costs could hurt boat sales and unemployment. The idea pairs with existing fuel tax revenue that already funds fisheries programs.
