Elyria Man Arrested After Alleged Assault of Girl
An Elyria man, 21 year old Thomas Henderson of 124 Quincy Street, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a girl in the Slot Shop parking lot on Cleveland Street. The victim and rescuer James Sword identified Henderson. The attack involved choking in the Lot when the man fled. Henderson was arrested at his home shortly before midnight.

Fire damages eight car garage on 5th Street Lorain
Firefighters battled an eight car garage fire at 1626 5th Street in Lorain about 4:30 a.m. The blaze caused about $4,000 damage and started in nearby trash cans. Fire officials said the cause is under investigation after a 25 minute effort.
