Car impounded. pregnant woman left stranded in Kentucky
Highland Heights officer impounded Missy Hassan’s car for a license tag issue and left her, her 2 year old son, and her disabled mother stranded eight miles from home on U.S. 27. Hassan, pregnant and due last week, argued the action while her husband faced a prior license issue.

Federal seizure targets drug bar at East High area
U S marshals seized a two story storefront building on Superior Avenue housing Vices Nightclub Bar Golden Superette and Cuties Hair Salon near East High School. The seizure cites drug trafficking within 1000 feet of a school and five men were indicted in July. Cleanup and reopening decisions await marshal monitoring.

Inmate arraigned on kidnapping charge in Ohio case
Harold Lee Blevins 29 of London was arraigned in Madison County Common Pleas Court on kidnapping felonious assault and gross sexual imposition charges. Trial set for Oct. 12. A knife was found in the prison kitchen cooler after the February 16 hostage incident involving guard Evelyn Napper 23. Blevins is serving 5 to 25 years for attempted murder at Lucasville and was transferred from LCI.
