Water temperatures hover around 74 to 75 degrees off Toledo and Cleveland area. Walleye are still being caught with limits reported from Toledo to islands, Huron and Vermilion. Perch fishing remains good with many limits near Toledo intake and islands. Largemouth and smallmouth bass show strong activity in Portage River mouth, Sandusky Bay, and around Kelleys Island with various rig tactics. Catfish thrive in Sandusky and Maumee bays with shrimp and shiners common baits. Additional deep water jigging yields action near Edgewater Park, Wildwood, and Fairport areas.
